Well, Joyce and I looked, and looked, and looked ... did I mention we studied the picture? And, we are definite that its MAYBE me! in fact, I think I still have the sport coat, although Joyce doesn't let me wear it! We enjoyed the pictures of all the happy young people and wondered who they were. It's been over 40 years folks! I'm having trouble remembering last week and all my grandchildren's' names let alone things that happened 40 years ago.
We're still in the Central Florida area .. Sanford to be exact. After over 25 years in politics, I've "retired" to the quiet life of an officer in a private national mortgage ban with headquarters in the Maitland Center. Joyce (Boone '63) is retiring in a month from SCC administrative staff and plans to return to home making after raising 4 children and spend time with our 9 grandchildren. We are very blessed in the fact that they all live within 5 miles of us!
Let us know when the next reunion is planned. If we come, I'll be the one standing in the corner trying to figure out who everyone is and hoping no one comes up to me without a name tag (written in VERY large letters) and asks me about events from the 60's!

It’s good to hear from you. Bill Ronay lives about an hour north of Macon and comes here occasionally on business, so he has been keeping me posted. As you can see, I teach at Macon State College; photos of my wife and kids are on my MSC website. (I got a late start in the birds and bees department, so my youngest is 7 mos.)
I’m also a columnist for the Macon Telegraph. I’ve been back to WP only twice in the past 25 years but visited the old alma mater on both occasions. I’m glad to know about the web site. It’s a real service.
    Thanks!
Best wishes, Larry

Larry traveled 365 miles to attend the 50th class reunion. He told us he has 4 children. Larry's favorite teacher was Mr. Wiesenberger who taught geography. He lists his hobbies as tennis and "...returning to college just for fun." His favorite sports are tennis and soccer, He has 2 labs and 2 tabby cats. Larry lists his favorite vacation spot as Tybee Island. On his bucket list is to "move back to New York". Larry told us his funniest memory of the high school days was when Buddy Kirk heaved an alligator into (through) the Florida room door. His favorite WPHS memory is "hanging out at the Rollins Library after school".

Happiest memory: The best memories of WPHS are not really memories but a part of me which grows more meaningful each year. The beauty of the old Spanish buildings and the fond memories of friends and activities are important, but that feeling of being part of an institution of which I am proud is the tops. I'm proud of the achievements of our classmates in many different fields - sports, business, arts, law, medicine, etc., but probably the best measure of our success will be in what kind of parents we have been and have we prepared the next generation to take the reins from us? WPHS is an attitude and a way of life - not a memory.
Bio: The Citadel, 1961-64. University of Florida, 1965-67. BS in journalism/public relations. Married 1965. Two sons. Divorced 1977. Married 1979 (new wife, plus a daughter and a third son). Partner in an independent insurance agency in Sarasota 1975-83. Returned to Orlando and started own agency. Sold to HBJ in 1985 and am now president of Harvest and HBJ Insurance, a large commercial lines independent insurance agency in Orlando. (I left out some of the details!!)
Future Plans and goals: Improve golf game and sail a "rust bucket" around the world.
Source: 30th Reunion 1991

Frank and his wife Maggie traveled about 100 miles to attend the 50th class reunion. They have four children and seven grandchildren. Frank told us his hobbies are golf and travel. He has a pet Pug named Gracie. When asked if he had anything on his bucket list he told us that there were "too many to list". Frank provided us with an honor he wanted to share - he wrote, "Yes, I made it to 68!" His favorite WPHS memory is "all of the wonderful people".
