Judith Ann Reding Rogers Stocker

Known affectionately as "Dr. Mom" by her family, she was always on call for any illness in the family, even during her six-year battle with epilepsy and other serious illnesses. When she retired from her profession of a dental hygienist after practicing for 20 years in Okaloosa and Walton counties, she maintained close friendships with many of her former patients. Following her retirement after stricken with epilepsy, Judy became "Dr. Mom" to scores of epileptics across the nation via the internet.
After her family and friends, Judy had many other interests. She enjoyed all sports, especially soccer; her favorite team, however, was not Team USA, it was the Choctawhatchee Indians. She also loved dancing, especially performances by Riverdance because they were almost as impressive as the Indianettes. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist; her favorite music was not, however, Glenn Miller's orchestra nor the Beatles, it was The Choctawhatchee Style Marchers.
Judy loved cruising in her Miata, creating stained glass pieces and plants; big leafy plants that husband David had to drag into the house before each frost every winter since 1982. She loved kids, boy did she love kids; her kids, your kids, neighborhood kids, but especially during the last several years, she loved her grandchildren; Jimmy, Andrea, Michael, Lauren and the new kid on the block, five-month old Kristen.
Judy loved everything about Ft. Walton Beach: the people, the roar of fighter aircraft, the drone of C-130s, the restaurants and especially the beach. She really loved the beach because it was so close to the Gulf of Mexico and 'they was fish in them thar waters.'
Judy's family will celebrate her life and love at the Ft. Walton Beach Senior Center located on Memorial Drive in Ft. Walton Beach 1/2 block north of U.S. 98 behind the ballpark. All those who were touched by Judy's love and friendship are invited to join the celebration on Saturday morning, June 8th, 2002 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Casual dress, please.
