Eulogy for Dewey Ramsby
  (From Bill Cross)

Dear Friends,

It is with much personal sadness and angst that I am sending this message instead of presenting it in person.

It could be said that I was married to Dewey for 33 years as a partner in our CPA Firm since August, 1975. We go back even further to the days of Winter Park Elementary School, Winter Park Little League, Winter Park High School, and everything in between. We spent some wonderful times together in play and in business.

As kids, our bond was sealed in the sports venues of baseball, basketball, football and Larry Cowart’s whiffle ball league. It is noteworthy that as coordinated and gifted as Dewey was, he will go down in infamy as “bird legs” for stepping off a curb and breaking his ankle! In all seriousness, he was an All Star in all of his sports.

In our thirties and forties, we spent a lot of time fishing around Central Florida. These were the times when we could communicate regarding families and office matters. Our fishing migrated to hunting all over the Southeast, followed by golf and the Friday Golf Gang .

Over all these years, he was a gentleman supreme. He was kind to everyone and never had a mean bone in him. His worst comments dispersed to me were “Mother Hen” for my needling him to get his time reports and billings done! There is so much more I want to say and reflect on, but I will keep it short.

To Trisha, Blake, Matt, Greg, and Lauren, my love and heart felt sympathy goes out. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and always.

I am going to miss my daily lunch buddy dearly.
Thanks for all your companionship.
Thanks for all your valued knowledge.
Thanks for all the success we achieved together.
And most of all, thanks for being such a wonderful person to all.
I love you Dewey, and God bless your soul.
