WPHS's "Picnic in the Park" all class reunion was held to honor teachers, staff, students & community friends of WPHS. The event was held Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Central Park off Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park.

Those in attendance representing the Class of 1961 were Charlie Cayll, Terry Williams, Bill Schwartz, Max Morris, Ray Myers, Bob Finfrock, Lynn Nidy, Tommy Bledsoe, Jim Fleming, Terry Gartside, Jack Billingham, Dewey Ramsby, Frank Ferguson, along with Marcia Gruber, Anne Laing, Linda Schmidt, Fran Ussery, Helen Whittington, Mary Phillips, Ann Spaulding, Lynn Furr and Sharon Spelzhausen.

It was noted that the Class of 1961 had more alums representating their graduation year than any other class. Those classmembers who take the time to come down and hang out for a few hours seem to enjoy their experience and the opportunity to reminise with old friends.

A short meeting of the reunion committee, headed by Ann Spaulding Wilberding, was held at the close of the event to begin discussing the events to take place at the Class of 1961's 45th class reunion scheduled for April, 2006. WPHS has agreed to hold their Spring All Class Reunion during the same weekend as the Class of 1961's 45th reunion.
