During the 45th class reunion, several of the Georgia/Atlanta Area group (and others) came up to Camille and me and just flat-out asked, "When's the next mini-reunion? It's been a year since the last one!"

A couple years ago, we did have the largest mini... and had a dinner the night before with some great quality "gathering" time. That seemed very much enjoyed. Then we went to the Blue Willow Inn, Social Circle, Georgia, the following day for an afternoon of more quality time. Some held back and were reluctant to leave even as the sun was setting... and that was fine, also.

Depending on how many commit to attending will determine where we will be eating and for how long. Many of you who have attended other Social Circle mini-reunions will recall the "Sun Room" at the Blue Willow Inn holds 24. We could possibly squeeze in a couple more... that would be very enjoyable to do. The "Lewis Grizzard Room" holds 50 and is in great demand... so I would have to ask for it...now! As for those who want to come on Friday, we can choose a place nearby to kick-back and/or howl...whatever the case may be.

A couple of questions:

1. How many would want to arrive early on Friday afternoon? If there is a sufficient number, there are a few local un-hurried places we could gather for an equally as casual evening...

2. Would there be a need for motel/hotel rooms?

3. What would you like to do on Friday? Depending on what is happening in/on Lake Oconee, there would be something available for the group to enjoy. But if just being in a laid-back environment and savoring each other's company is "cool"...that is quite possible.

4. What type of restaurant for Friday? A neighbor of mine manages The Ice House in Madison. (http://www.buzzc.net/inns/madison.htm) scroll to the bottom of the page). It's a popular, upscale place where the locals migrate to on the weekends. There will also be a newly opened place on Lake Oconee Parkway, The Magnolia House, opening July 15. ...and the Ritz is always a choice.

Depending on the group's desire, we'll try our best to lean that way... Blue Willow Inn is in Social Circle, Georgia (I-20 exit 98). The US 441/129 exit is at exit 114.

So let's all meet, eat and have a wonderful time...in August. Please let Camille (the Hula Hoop Lady) and me know your intentions as quickly as possible.
